‘Smart’ Meter

Author: Julie Casper, C. Ac., C.H.E.K. Certified, hTMA

The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) calls for "immediate caution regarding smart meter installation." Several studies corroborate that "significant harmful biological effects occur from nonā€thermal RF exposure."

A study including 10 autistic and 10 ‘normal’ children, found that the mothers of the autistic children slept where microwave radiation was 20.7 times higher than mothers of the non-autistic children. D. Klinghardt, MD, PhD

Smart Meters and Health Concerns

Around the world analog electric, gas, and water utility meters are being replaced with pulsed non-ionizing radiation smart meters (a.k.a., AMR or AMI meters). Smart meters are often installed on customer's homes without full disclosure about the how they work, potential higher costs, privacy threats, and health and safety risks. You do have legal rights to protect yourself from the potential harm. Here are some resources to help you prevent energy corporations from installing a smart meter on your home:

More independent research is needed to assess the safety of Smart Meter technology. Patients are reporting to physicians the development of symptoms and adverse health effects after Smart Meters are installed on their homes. Immediate action is necessary to protect the public's health. Dr. Amy Dean

AAEM EMF/RF Recommendations
  1. Address health effects of EMF and RF exposure, including "Smart Meters."
  2. Use safer technologies; hard wiring, fiber optics or other non-harmful methods.
  3. Address electromagnetic hypersensitivity on a worldwide scale.
  4. Research the quantum effects of EMF|RF on health.
